Lincoln has approximately 250,000 people. UNL has two campuses in Lincoln:
City Campus (immediately adjacent to downtown Lincoln), which houses the Colleges of Arts & Sciences, Engineering,
Business, Human Resources, and Fine and Performing Arts; and
East Campus, which houses the Agriculture, Dental and Law Colleges (and the
Dairy Store!)
Downtown Lincoln hums most evenings with people walking from campus to a dozen movie theaters, bistros,
coffee shops and restaurants. To the immediate west, also walking distance from campus, is the
Haymarket, site of the original settlement. Its warehouses have been reborn
as restaurants, shops, and art and antique galleries.
